Fun & Informative Tips for Ning Networks
Want a great way to create a tag cloud (description below) for your Ning Network? Here's a dynamite Tag Cloud Generator:

Please see new Discussion, to prevent your Tag Cloud from adding extra lines (and not wrapping) within a Ning Text Box.
Here is an example tag cloud, using some of our keywords. I used the following link to pick up the keywords: http://theningdirectory.ning.com/forum2/topic/list?pageSize=500
What is a Tag Cloud? A Tag Cloud contains a list of important keywords. These keywords contain links to pages on your Network. Search Engines typically pick up these type of links. So, if you have keywords that are important to your Network, add those keywords with links to a tag cloud. Fortunately, the tag cloud generator shown above, will automatically pick up the keywords, and add the links for you. Copy and paste the tag cloud HTML to a text box, on your Network.
Please see new Discussion, to prevent your Tag Cloud from adding extra lines (and not wrapping) within a Ning Text Box.
Below is our Find Ning Networks Search Widget (members on this site). If you have a Ning Network where it's appropriate to share other Ning Sites, this little widget is great. After SEARCH is pressed, it will open a new window and display all the Ning Networks on the Ning Directory, for the Category selected. Click on Get Widget, for the code. You can add to any main Text Box (like this example), a Text Box on your main page, or a new page.
We can no longer add this type code to a Discussion Box, so I thought I would share a few of our widgets, here - - more to come...
