Contest Instructions and Rules - PLEASE READ COMPLETELY. Contest duration: 2 months.

FEATURED MEMBER CONTEST: A couple of ways you can help the Directory go to the top, is by making hits and posting content, right?! So, we've turned this into a competition! The more hits/replies you make, the more you help the Directory. This is what earns your featured spot.

TO BE INCLUDED, A MINIMUM OF 100 REPLIES IS REQUIRED. YOU MUST ADD A MINIMUM OF 100 REPLIES FOR THE NING DIRECTORY. IF YOU SIMPLY ADD 100 REPLIES FOR YOUR NETWORK, THAT'S FINE. HOWEVER, TO QUALIFY, YOU STILL NEED TO ADD 100 FOR THE PREPARED NING DIRECTORY COMMENT.
The Contest will run every 2 months.
Contest Starts October 6, 2009 and Ends December 6, 2009.

How do you WIN A FEATURED MEMBER SPOT FOR 2 MONTHS?!! You compete in our Featured Member Contest! We will continue to offer ‘Featured Spots’ for monthly subscribers ($5 and $19.95), and the new flat rate of $99.95 for a (lifetime of the Directory), ‘Featured Spot‘. But, this is a way to be featured, by competing. And the best part? You will be helping the Directory, help you! This is a win-win Contest!

We will run a new competition approximately, every 8 weeks. If we reach 200 ‘Featured Spots’ at one time, we will postpone future competitions, until there are more slots available. If we have 200 ties, then no problem! We will feature all our winners!

To be fair to all competitors, you MUST follow these directions to qualify for a ‘Featured Spot’. BTW, forgive the word "MUST". The word is used to catch attention, so you don't miss important requirements to the Contest. ;-)

Duration of Contest: 2 months.
Contest Goal: Be 1 of 5 Contestants to make the most Replies, in your Discussion. See qualifications, below.
Create 1 Discussion in this Group, and name it your member name (the same name you use on the Directory). Example: If Acme Hardware was in the competition, they would create a Discussion and name it ‘Acme Hardware’, no quotes.
PREVIOUS COMPETITORS: YOU MUST CREATE A NEW DISCUSSION FOR EACH CONTEST.
YOU MUST MAKE A MINIMUM OF 100 REPLIES FOR THE NING DIRECTORY, OVER THE DURATION OF THE CONTEST (2 months).
NEW RULE: YOU NEED TO PLAY A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS, OVER THE DURATION OF THE CONTEST.
You will not qualify, if you enter all 100 Ning Directory Replies, in less than 15 "play" days. Each day you play, you must enter the "prepared" statement, below.
You compete by, making Replies to your Discussion, for the time period of the Contest.
- Make replies for the Ning Directory, each "play" day. If you choose to "play" the minimum days (15), you need to add approximately 7 replies for the Ning Directory, on each of your "play" days, to make the required 100 replies. See prepared reply, below.
- All other replies per day, should promote your Ning Networks (unlimited per day).

Contestants: To reiterate, promote your Ning Networks, and create unlimited replies per day.
Each day you play, must contain the prepared paragraph, above.
You DO NOT have to compete everyday. We do ask that you play, a minimum of 15 days over the duration of the 60 Contest days.
Make sure you click on ‘Reply’, so the total count shows on your main Discussion page. This is how we will tally the ‘Replies’.

Winner's Day: On December 6, 2009, the top 5 members (most replies in your Discussion) will be selected and featured for 2 months. Only the top 5 Contestants who meet the contest requirements, and have the most replies will be selected. Winners will be ‘Featured’ from December 6, 2009 until February 6, 2010.

Winners will be 'Featured' under 'Featured Communities'.

Every 2 months we will start over with a new Discussion and a new reply statement, unless we hit 200 members. If that happens, we will postpone until we have available spots.

I have a couple of questions regarding the contest.

In order for the submission to be valid there must be a minimum of 100 entries of the provided reply, correct? However, a participant is only allowed to post the required reply once a day. How is one able to qualify if they are only allowed to make a single post per day of the prepared reply for the “Ning Directory” given the time period?

Please clarify. Thank you.

I'm not really sure what you're saying, so sorry. Basically, contestants leave new comments here, in this Group, under their special Discussion (created by them on Contest start date). All they are doing is leaving a minimum of 100 comments for the duration of the contest. Part of their comments is a prepared message I give in the details. The other parts of their comment or comments, can be anything they want to advertise their networks.

The purpose of the contest are many:
1. Traffic
2. Hits to the site
3. Search Engines love all the good keywords I have embedded in the "canned" comment.
4. Members get a chance to have their networks featured.
5. Members get another opportunity to advertise their Ning Networks.
